Cinnamon from Lake Toba

Indonesian Cinnamon – From Lake Toba, Sumatra

Lake Toba cinnamon comes from the highlands of Sumatra, surrounding Southeast Asia’s largest volcanic lake. This high-altitude region, with its cool, humid climate, is renowned for producing aromatic, well-balanced, and naturally sweet cinnamon.

At Kawanga, we have selected a unique grade that meets the highest available standard. The cinnamon bark is harvested when fully ripe, then slowly dried under controlled conditionsto preserve its aromatic intensity, high essential oil content, and characteristic beautiful reddish-brown color.

Aromatic Profile

  • Warm, woody, and slightly sweet notes
  • Aromas of caramel, honey, and dried fruit
  • A gentle, rounded warmth, without any harshness
  • A long, elegant, and well-balanced finish
